China Blanking Press Machine Manufacturer
A blanking press machine is one of the most fundamental and widely used pieces of equipment in modern sheet metal manufacturing, playing a critical role in mass-producing precise, flat metal parts with high efficiency and repeatability. As a core metal cutting and separation process, blanking enables manufacturers to transform sheet metal or coil material into accurately shaped blanks that serve as finished components or as the starting point for subsequent forming operations such as bending, drawing, or stamping.
World Group manufactures 25 to 2000 tons blanking press machines, including fine blanking press machines.

To meet the blanking needs of different industries, precision levels, and degrees of automation, World Group has built a rich and comprehensive product line of blanking presses.
Our Blanking Press Machine Integration Capabilities
In line with modern manufacturing trends toward high efficiency, precision, and flexibility, World’s blanking presses integrate with robotic arms, conveyor systems, die-changing systems, and other devices to build highly coordinated automated production lines.
Robotic Arms
Precisely grasp blanks of varying sizes and shapes, eliminating injuries and inefficiencies associated with manual handling. During fine blanking operations, robotic arms’ high repeatability ensures blanks are accurately positioned within the die, minimizing errors.
Feeding Machines and Other Conveying Systems
Integrated with CNC systems, automatic feeders enable automated transport of raw materials, finished products, and scrap. This facilitates continuous operation under “human-machine collaboration,” significantly boosting production capacity. Conveying systems also allow multiple presses to be linked in series for assembly-line production or to transport finished goods to stackers and packaging machines, enabling “multi-functional machine” production layouts.
Rapid Die Change System
Reduces die change time to , substantially increasing equipment utilization. Modern systems feature automatic centering to ensure rapid restoration of optimal processing conditions post-change.
PLC Control System
CNC technology enables users to easily adjust punch force, stroke speed, and cycle time. The PLC system executes precisely while recording detailed data for each cycle, facilitating traceability and optimization.
Air Cushion Device
Provides a smooth ejection force during stretching and forming processes, ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy for each stamping operation. This reduces jamming during part ejection, minimizing downtime and maintenance frequency.
Blanking Press Applications
Automotive Components:
This represents one of the most critical applications for blanking processes. From initial blanks for large body panels like doors and hoods to structural and functional parts such as seat frames, chassis reinforcements, seatbelt buckles, and gear discs, precise two-dimensional shapes are achieved through blanking.
Equipment Panels
Control panels and display frames for industrial equipment, home appliances, and electronic instruments are typically produced via blanking to ensure dimensional accuracy and visual consistency.
Enclosures & Housings:
- Metal enclosures like computer cases, server housings, power supply boxes, and motor covers often feature main structures or critical components formed from blanking-produced blanks through subsequent processes like bending and stretching.
Hardware & Tools:
Blanking enables efficient mass production of various washers, flanges, connecting plates, and hand tool prototypes (e.g., wrenches).

FAQs
Blanking is a metal cutting and separation process. Its core involves applying immense pressure through a press, driving the upper die (punch) and lower die (die cavity) to move relative to each other. This action shears the flat sheet metal or coil placed between the dies, thereby separating parts with predetermined contour shapes. In this process, the separated part with the desired shape is called the “blank,” which is the usable portion for subsequent processing or direct use. The remaining frame-like section on the sheet is termed ‘scrap’ or “skeleton,” typically recycled for further processing.
Its operation can be simplified as the application of shearing force: When the press's ram drives the upper die downward, the die's cutting edge first contacts and presses into the metal sheet. As pressure continues to increase, immense shear stress develops within the material. When this stress exceeds the material's shear strength, plastic deformation occurs along the contours of the upper and lower die edges, ultimately causing the material to fracture and separate. The minute clearance between the upper and lower dies critically determines the quality of the blank's cross-section. Proper clearance produces a bright, straight shear line and a narrow fracture zone, resulting in high-quality blank edges.
Standard blanking presses are suitable for tasks with moderate tolerances and less stringent precision requirements.
Fine blanking presses, however, offer higher machining accuracy, producing workpieces with smoother edges.
Workpieces produced using a Fine Blanking Press feature smooth, straight cut surfaces free of tear marks. Their dimensional accuracy and edge quality rival those of machined parts, allowing direct use in assembly without secondary processing.
C-frame presses feature a compact structure with a small footprint, making them suitable for workshops with limited space or for processing smaller workpieces.
H-frame presses have a robust structure capable of withstanding greater impact forces. They are ideal for high-precision, high-tonnage heavy-duty stamping operations, particularly on high-volume production lines.
In blanking, the cut-out section is the finished product, while the surrounding material is scrap. In punching, the hole is the product and the slug is scrap.
Blanking presses primarily process metal materials, especially sheet metal. This includes but is not limited to: steel (such as carbon steel, stainless steel), aluminum, copper, alloy materials, etc.
