Prior to shipment to overseas customer facilities, integrated transportation is often impractical. To ensure safe and efficient international delivery, World Group’s workshop engineers carry out a professional disassembly process before shipment, separating the press into several major structural components. These key units mainly include the upper crossbeam, balance cylinders, slider, columns, base, and electrical cabinet, among others.
Once disassembly is completed, our long-term partner professional industrial equipment packaging team becomes involved to implement customized, individual packaging solutions for each major component. All packaging operations strictly comply with heavy machinery export standards, with a strong focus on protecting the paint finish, structural integrity, and dimensional accuracy of the components during long-distance sea transportation and repeated loading and unloading, while also preventing corrosion caused by the marine environment.
Before packaging begins, the packaging team works closely with workshop engineers to obtain critical technical data for each component, including exact dimensions, unit weight, structural characteristics, and material properties. Based on these parameters, tailored packaging and reinforcement plans are developed for each individual part.
For example, for oversized and ultra-heavy components such as the upper crossbeam, the packaging team designs and manufactures dedicated high-strength wooden skids after confirming the component weight and load-bearing points. This ensures stable load distribution and secure support during truck transportation and ocean shipping, effectively preventing structural risks caused by vibration or uneven loading.
For components with regular geometry such as columns and moving bolsters, custom-made enclosed wooden crates are used. In addition, metal reinforcement strips or wooden frames are installed at the crate corners and key load-bearing areas to significantly reduce the risk of dents, deformation, or damage resulting from impacts during transportation.
Furthermore, after all components are secured on wooden skids or enclosed in wooden crates, they are uniformly covered with high-strength waterproof and moisture-resistant materials. This additional protection enhances resistance to high humidity, heavy rainfall, and marine salt spray, ensuring that the equipment remains safe and intact under all climatic conditions throughout the transportation process.
